• I examine my patient's bottom and find an impaction of the sygmoid colon. To verify my findings, I bring in my student nurse Sherry to feel inside the patient's bottom. Next, for medical reasons I use a single use enema bag with cold water. This is VERY uncomfortable for the patient, but afterall, we need to clear the problem and this is my solution. I attach a hollow metal enema plug, perfect for keeping the water in the patient and attach the single use enema bag to this. Due to the impaction, we only manage to get a certain ammount of water in. I find that I need to revert back to the syringe to get the remaining water in.
